Ismat Jahan is Clinical Psychologist & Head, National Trauma Counseling Centre of Multi-Sectoral Programme on Violence Against Women of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs that jointly implemented by the Government of Bangladesh & Government of Denmark with collaboration of 9 partner ministries. She is providing psychosocial counseling to the women and children who has experienced any kind violence; also providing individual, couple and family counseling to anyone for ensuring sound mental health. She is organizing and conducting psychosocial counseling training along with training Guideline and manual for human resources development; also buildup network among related Government and Non-government organizations; Monitor and supervise the psychosocial counseling services of National Trauma Counseling Centre, Regional Trauma Counseling Centres, eight One-Stop Crisis Centres (OCC)s, Safe home and Sixty One-Stop Crisis Cells (OCC)s. She is also programming and organizing awareness raising workshop and seminar for different professionals; Provide technical support in policy making and plan of action; conducting research on psychosocial aspect on gender based violence issue.
